A wide range of equipment and chemicals is offered for the treatment of the majority of prevailing water conditions including turbidity, salinity, hardness, trace elements and bacteria from domestic to small community applications.

Intropia treats all the water it supplies to the people from different sources to the water you want best from the water you have.

Deep bore hole developments normally require a consistent source of clean water supply since the water is extracted for economic purposes in most cases, and underground water is selected for these purposes through drilling of boreholes. Borehole wells tap into water bearing soil or rock layers called aquifers and can go as deep as 10,000 feet into ground.

Prior to drilling, a ground water potential investigation has to be done to establish the most suitable location for a viable source. The investigation report presents the results of the survey. The report should provide detailed information regarding the water demand, borehole depth and water strikes, yield of the well, bore hole design, test pumping and water quality.

Solar Water Pumping

Solar water pumps (SWP) use electricity generated by photovoltaic (PV) panels to pump water from boreholes wells or reservoirs directly into fields or into a storage tank for gravity based irrigation. Water supplied can be used to irrigate crops, live stock water, in some cases provide drinking water.

A solar water pumping system consists of three major components; the solar array, pump controller and electric water pump.

The shallow well type of technology is a very good and appropriate technology for providing safe and clean water to purely rural areas and communities and is cost effective. They can be evenly distributed in the water strained rural communities so that people especially women and children reduce on the walking distances they move to go and collect water.

Walking long distances to fetch water from far distant water sources in pushes brings about high risks of rape and defilement to the women and children. Many children also fail to go to school in time because they have to walk long distances to fetch water for house hold use and livestock i.e. chicken, cows, pigs, goats among others.

The shallow wells can easily be funded by NGOs as they can be phased out in small numbers for the construction and makes it possible to raise the money and implement projects in phases.

A spring is a natural discharge point of subterranean water at the surface of the ground or directly into the bed of a stream, lake, or sea. Water that emerges at the surface without a perceptible current is called a seep. Wells are holes excavated to bring water and other underground fluids to the surface.

Uses of Spring Water

Spring water has been used for centuries for basic survival, medicinal purposes, and for man's entertainment and pleasure.

These are normally constructed to contain water for production purposes such as irrigation, livestock and fish farming.

Valley Dams / Valley Tanks, are built in natural depressions and earthen embarkment built across the valley of a drainage line to intercept and retain the water flowing down the drainage line. Soil is scooped out in an area near natural drainage line and a channel created to lead water to an excavated tank.

Water Tanks offer a discreet and space saving solution for storing harvested rain water intended for irrigation, watering plants and washing cars and for domestic use. Water tanks can be surface tanks (ferro cement) or underground (water sump).

Water is an important resource that is at the centre of all development endavors. People require safe and clean water in everyday life. However, on a daily basis, alot of people go without it most notably in Africa and yet there is plenty enough water to the equivalent of the demand. This is because a lot of water lies under the ground and is trapped there.

Intropia provides the safe and clean water to the people through it's competence and ability by use of appropriate technologies by drilling to the soils and geological formations that are fully saturated with water i.e. the water aquifers, pump out the water by use of solar energy, store it and then supply to the populations for every day use.
